Baltic state of Lithuania today announced the opening of its embassy in the capital and a consulate in Mumbai by next month for strengthening its business and economic ties with India.
"India has always been an important country for us. With the opening of the Lithuania embassy in New
Delhi and the
consulate in Mumbai our relations will undoubtedly reach new heights," Republic of Lithuania Minister Counsellor Charge de Affairs Albretas A Dambraus told reporters here.
In order to give a push to its relationship with India, Lithuanian Foreign Affairs Minister Vygaudas Usackas and
Minister of Economy Dainius Kreivys along with a 30 member delegation comprising heads of various Lithuanian Trade
Associations will visit India from from December 1-4.
