West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee today met Congress President Sonia Gandhi and is believed to have discussed the coming Presidential election.

Emerging from the meeting at Gandhi's residence, the Trinamool Congress declined to divulge the details of their discussion.

"It was a courtesy call. I have come to enquire about her (Gandhi's) health," she told reporters.

Asked if Trinamool Congress would support Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee or Vice President Hamid Ansari if Congress nominates them, Banerjee joked "I am the candidate".
