Man found dead in Nehru place, cops hunt for clues

The body of an unidentified man was found in the parking area of south Delhi’s Nehru Place on Wednesday morning. Police said the body, which had been stripped off its clothes, was noticed by some passers by around 6am .

The victim, a police officer said, was around 25 years old and had injury marks on his head that hinted at the fact that  he might have been attacked with a blunt object. The murderers had also attempted to disfigure the victim’s face using a stone. Since no cash or mobile phone was recovered from the spot, police suspect it to be a case of murder for robbery.

The victim’s body has been sent to the mortuary of AIIMS. A case of murder has been registered at the Kalkaji police station and efforts are on identify the victim.

The police are also scanning footage CCTV cameras installed the area for clues.
