A man has been arrested for allegedly molesting and assaulting a 20-year-old woman on Wednesday, the police said.
The police said the incident took place when the victim, a resident of RK Puram's Sector 1, was going to a general store to buy some grocery with her 12-year-old sister.
"One Dharampal, who stays in the same area, passed a lewd comment at her and molested her. When she tried to resist, he started beating her," said an officer. The police said hearing the woman's cries for held, residents came to her rescue. They caught and handed him over to the police.
