Another incident of road rage was reported from Sultanpuri area of outer Delhi on Friday, in which a policeman was manhandled by occupants of a Maruti Swift car.

The policeman had tried to pacify an altercation that broke out between the men in the car and two men on a motorcycle, about the motorbike grazing past the car. The incident took place at around 10.45pm at Zalebi Chowk on Thursday.

Police sources said constable Suresh was on duty in a PCR van when it received a call about the altercation.

“During routine check of the vehicles, the police found a pistol and a rifle in the car. Suresh asked the occupants of the car to show the weapons’ licence, after which they allegedly manhandled him,” said the source.

No case was registered in the matter, the source added.

This the second such incident of road rage reported in the Capital this week.

On Tuesday, a 37-year-old manager of Amici café lost his life after he was run over by a Ford Ikon car.
