The minimum temperature, however, was two degrees above normal at 9.2 degrees.

Tuesday had been a cold day as well, when the maximum temperature was recorded as 16.2 degrees Celsius.

Shallow fog was seen on Thursday morning but thick fog may return over the weekend.

On Thursday, the sky was partly cloudy with the sun coming out only for a short interval. Cold winds that swept across the city made many shiver.

The temperatures are expected to be higher on Friday with the Weatherman forecasting the temperatures to stay between 9 and 18 degrees Celsius. Shallow fog will be followed by clear skies.
