Top leaders of the BJP and RSS are closeted in a meeting in New Delhi to brainstorm on the saffron party's 2014 poll policy.

The meet – which comes at a time of speculation whether the BJP will formally announce Narendra Modi as its prime ministerial candidate anytime soon – has generated immense buzz.

Apart from Modi and other top BJP leaders, RSS leaders like Suresh (Bhaiyyaji) Joshi and Suresh Soni, the Sangh's pointsman to the BJP, are present.

Later in the evening, the BJP's central campaign committee headed by Modi will meet to chalk out its campaign plans.

BJP leaders however say an announcement of Modi's name as the party's PM candidate is unlikely as of now.
LK Advani is said to have skipped the meet due to a prior engagement at Salem. He, however, had a telephonic conversation with Bhaiyyaji Joshi on Wednesday evening.

An RSS leader told HT that the meet would discuss how best the BJP and RSS can coordinate for the coming Lok Sabha elections and also how best a process of intra-Parivar consultation can be streamlined.
