Mother Dairy, one of the biggest suppliers of milk in Delhi and the NCR, will increase fresh milk prices by Rs. 2 and Rs. 3 from Monday.
A litre of toned milk (poly pack) — the highest selling Mother Dairy product — will be available for Rs. 32 from May 27, up from the current price of Rs. 30.
The price of full cream milk has been increased from Rs. 39 to Rs. 42 per litre and that of toned/bulk-vended milk (token milk) from Rs. 28 to Rs. 30 per litre.
“The price hike has been necessitated due to significant increase in raw material costs by almost 10% over the past year, power tariffs, petroleum prices and other costs.
To maintain the viability of operations and to be able to adequately cater to the growing liquid milk demand of the consumers in NCR, Mother Dairy is compelled to make the price hike,” a press release issued by Mother Dairy stated.
