The North Delhi Municipal Corporation House on Tuesday declared a holiday on 'Chhath Puja' that falls on November 19.
The members said work will be suspended in all north corporation offices and institutions. However, the Delhi government has to take the final call before the resolution is implemented.
A similar resolution was passed last year by the unified Municipal corporation of Delhi (MCD) to appease the Poorvanchali population but it was rejected by the government.
