One held for selling fake appliances

Police on Friday arrested one Anil Kumar and claimed to have busted a racket of manufacturing, packaging and sale of counterfeit electric ceiling fans of a registered home appliance company.

Acting on a tip-off, the police raided a shop in Bhagirath Place Market in Rohini and recovered 186 counterfeit products of 'Slivertone' electric appliances. "A search revealed 200 packs of counterfeit heating elements and 12 counterfeit fans," police said.
