Parliament was adjourned sine die on Thursday at the end of the winter session which started on Nov 22.

The session witnessed disruptions in both the Houses over government allowing foreign direct investment (FDI) in retail.

The bill to provide a quota in promotions in government jobs, which was passed by the Rajya Sabha and remains pending in the Lok Sabha, was also the cause of much disruptions.
