The condition of Pakistani prisoner Sanaullah Haq continued to be critically sick even on Sunday with no neurological improvement.

Sanaullah was admitted to Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh on Friday evening after he was allegedly attacked by a fellow prisoner in Jammu’s Kot Bhalwal jail.

In medical bulletin issued by the PGIMER on Sunday evening, he remains in a critical condition in deep coma and on a ventilator.

A spokesperson Manju Wadwalkar said his metabolic parameters were now settling. The arterial blood gases were satisfactorily maintained on moderate oxygen flow.

His blood pressure continued to be maintained with three inotropic drugs -- medicine that modify the speed of heart muscles contraction, she said.

On Friday morning, officials from the Pakistan High Commission had a meeting with PGIMER officials and doctors.

The 52-year-old prisoner was lifted through an air ambulance on Friday from Jammu.
