Commerce Minister Anand Sharma was embroiled in a spat with Trinamool member Kalyan Banerjee in the Lok Sabha on Monday.
Sparks flew and an ugly verbal dual ensued between the two shortly after the Lok Sabha had been adjourned. The commerce minister approached Banerjee and said: “It is because of people like you (TMC) that industrialists will never come to this country”. Incensed by the remark, Banerjee said: “You worry about industrialists; we speak for the concerns of 122 crore people”. A clever strategy?

An enraged Sharma told Banerjee to talk in a “civilised manner”, saying “Your leader Mamata has worked under me as a colleague. She will know if or not I understand the country. You ascertain this with her”.
