With the presidential race wide open Union Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Sunday did not rule out the possibility of his being in the race.
"I don't know anything. I am just a 'sadha' man. Whatever work is deputed to me I do that," Shinde said on the sidelines of a Power Ministry event in New Delhi on Sunday.
On his being the favourite choice of Mayawati he said that he was reading these things in newspapers only and he "really" did not know about any such developments.
He further said, "I am doing whatever work is being assigned to him by the party high-command be it the job of the chief minister or that of a simple member of parliament."
Recently there were media reports about Shinde being the fray of the nation's top job with the likes of Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, Karan Singh and others.
