The council, presided over by chief minister Sheila Dikshit, decided to postpone a decision on the issue and also hold a special meeting regarding the matter.

“The council discussed the matter and it was decided that once the court notice is properly studied, a special meeting of the council will be convened to decide on the next course of action,” NDMC spokesperson Arun Kumar Mishra said.

Delhi High Court on Tuesday had asked NDMC to respond to Tata Group’s plea seeking to prevent the auction.
