BJP spokesman Tarun Vijay attacked Anna Hazare for agreeing to include the father-son duo of Shashi Bhushan and Prashant Bhushan in the committee to draft an effective Lok Pal Bill but later this evening he changed his stance, saying he agrees with the Gandhian.

In a posting on Twitter yesterday, Vijay said, "Anna accepted father and son duo. Included pro-Maoists. Had govt nominees. W(a)nted opp(osition) say yes, yet none from opposition (taken) in commitee. Democr(a)cy?"

However, this evening, Vijay posted a fresh tweet which said: "I see just the leadership of Anna. Matter ends there.

He is beyond boundary lines. Amazing." Earlier also, Vijay had praised Hazare and termed government conceding to Hazare's demands as a victory for nation's collective conscience.

"A victory for nation's collective conscience. Just the beginning," said Vijay in a previous tweet. Noted lawyer Shanti Bhushan and his son Prashant Bhusan were included in the Lokpal Bill drafting committee which has a total of 10 members including five from the government.

Baba Ramdev, who had joined the agitation, had also objected to the inclusion of the Bhushans in the committee, alleging it showed nepotism. Hazare had brushed aside the criticism on inclusion of father-son duo and virtually ruled out any change in the nominees, saying the focus is on having an effective anti-graft measure.

The BJP spokesperson had complimented Hazare for not involving the politicians in his movement, but questioned whether the country could be run by non-politicians.

He also questioned a section of Hazare's supporters "who are known practitioners of ideological extremism of political colours." "That Anna has chosen to keep the movement off politicians is good, as most of them have lost all credibility.

People, in general perception, have no respect for them and their joining the Anna movement could have been taken as if they are trying to shine in the reflected glory and grab fruits of someone else's labour," he said. "It may not be true exactly, as there are exceptions and ultimately the nation needs politicians, the good ones of course, to run the state affairs.

JP (Jai Prakash) never abhorred politicians. In Anna's scheme, is the country to be run by non-politicians," Vijay questioned. "The nation looks to have been admitted to an ICU, nothing is working except Hasan Alis and the Goan education minister caught with a horrific amount of US dollars. The government has facilitated the rise of the rogues and humiliation of the patriotic forces," he wrote.
