A 19-year-old youth was arrested for allegedly stabbing to death his neighbour after an argument over clearing the drain, police said on Tuesday.
Jaswinder Singh was arrested, while his friend and main accused Bijender is still absconding, they said.
The incident took place on Sunday when Joginder Singh Matharoo and his son Bijender Singh blocked the complainant Veer Singh and the victim Vijay Kumar from clearing the drain.
"Vijay Kumar tried to pacify Bijender and his friend Jaswinder but both of them became aggressive. Jasvinder Singh caught the deceased and Bijender stabbed him," police said.
