The Delhi BJP on Monday demanded FIRs should be registered against the Delhi chief minister and Delhi government ministers for their alleged involvement in the ‘commercial vehicles’ fitness scam.

The party also requested the L-G to sack them if they do not step down. “The cases related to this scam should be transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation or an SIT (Special Investigation Team) and bring the guilty to the book,” said a BJP spokesperson.

On August 1, Delhi BJP had demanded a CBI inquiry into what it termed a multi-crore scam in the fitness tests of commercial vehicles in Delhi.

“There is clear evidence of a direct role of Dikshit, Haroon Yusuf and other ministers and bureaucrats. The chief minister, her cabinet colleagues and some senior officials are trying to derail the investigation. There is evidence on record, which shows the Congress is trying to hush up the matter,” said Vijay Goel, Delhi BJP president.
