Samajwadi Party MP and actor Jaya Bachchan has complained to the Rajya Sabha Television for focusing the camera on her when newly nominated MP and veteran star Rekha Ganesan took oath on Tuesday.

In her complaint, Bachchan is understood to have asked the RSTV chairman: “Why were the cameras focusing on me when Rekha was taking oath?”

Contacted for RS TV response, a channel spokesperson said, “We have no control over the live proceedings of the House. It is provided to us by Doordarshan.”
He said the channel has an agreement with DD, which allowed it to telecast the proceedings of the House.

The unannounced arrival of Rekha in Parliament on Tuesday had created excitement in the House and she was virtually mobbed while entering the building.
