Winter to set in firmly by next week

After experiencing unusually warm days, Delhiites got a whiff of the winter chill on Tuesday as the maximum temperature dipped to 18.7 degree Celsius, which was four degrees below normal. The minimum, however, was recorded as 11.5 degrees, three degrees above normal.

Several parts of the city received rainfall, which brought down the day temperature by 9 degrees. The maximum temperature on Monday was 27.7 degrees.    

The Weatherman has forecast a maximum temperature of 21 degrees and a minimum of 11 degrees Celsius for Wednesday. According to a Met department official, Delhiites can expect winters to set in firmly by the next week.

The city had been experiencing an unusually warm weather for few days with the day temperatures crossing 25 degrees regularly. 

On Wednesday, the morning sky is expected to be partly cloudy. Shallow fog is also expected along with light rainfall. htc
