Tata group is confident that the controversy over alleged corruption in the Finmeccanica chopper deal will not have any impact on its joint-venture with AgustaWestland.

Rotorcraft a joint venture between Tata Sons and the Finmeccanica subsidiary specialises in assembling, customizing and flight-testing new helicopters.  "We do not envisage any impact on our plans to manufacture helicopters," said Indian Rotorcraft.

The JV is supposed to start producing the 8-seat AW119Ke light helicopter in 2013, which will cater to global markets.
