Reacting against the judgment of the CBI in which it convicted former chief minister Om Prakash Chautala and others, INLD state president Ashok Arora and Chautala’s son Abhey Chautala on Wednesday said that it was once again proven that the CBI was a puppet in the hands of Congress.

Stating that the Congress had earlier used CBI against its rival parties and leaders including Mayawati, Mulayam Singh, Jayalalithaa, Chandrababu Naidu and Lalu Prasad Yadav, the leaders said that the Congress had always 'misused' CBI against those who raised their voice against the corrupt functioning of Congress.

Maintaining that all the INLD leaders were innocent, they further said that the people of the state knew that they had done nothing wrong and the INLD would soon expose the Congress party.

They held that the INLD would challenge the CBI verdict immediately after receiving its copy. "The people of Haryana know well how the Congress government has been selling government jobs and land to the relatives of Congress high command," Arora said.

They further said that it was in the wake of the increasing popularity of INLD that the Congress got frustrated and had stooped too low and had adopted such tactics to hide its own scams and corrupt functioning.

The INLD would continue its war against corrupt functioning of Congress till the end, they said and added that it was a fact that the Congress government which was in Haryana past eight years, had not got even a single complaint about sale of even a single job during the erstwhile INLD rule. However, it was also a fact that there had been plethora of complaints of this nature against the Congress leaders of the current regime and even murder of people who raised their voice against them.
