The results of the 53rd to 55th common combined main (written) examination, 2011, conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) were declared on Wednesday. The examination was conducted in 30 centres in Patna between May 26 and June 14 last year.
Of the 14,407 candidates that appeared, 2,610 candidates have been selected for the personal interview, the dates of which would be announced or sent to the candidates soon.
Interviews for 1,006 posts would be held, comprising 534 vacancies for rural development officer, 83 for Bihar finance service, 56 for sub-registrar, 56 for probationary officer and 34 for Bihar police service.
Of the 2,610 candidates selected for interview, 1248 belong to the general category, 429 to scheduled castes, 23 belong to scheduled tribes, 464 to extreme backward classes, 308 to backward classes and 83 to backward class women. There are also 25 physically challenged candidates on the list.
The results have been put up on the BPSC website and are also available at the office of the Bihar Public Service Commission.
