Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi will be here on Sunday. Modi's arrival coincides with Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar's much-touted 'adhikar rally'.

Modi and other senior leaders such as LK Advani, Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley are coming to Patna to pay respect to BJP stalwart Kailashpati Mishra, who died here on Saturday.

While confirming the development, Bihar BJP president CP Thakur said Modi will arrive here by a special flight around 3pm and go straight to the Patna residence of the late leader and at 4.15pm, he would leave for Gujarat.

Modi's sudden arrival is expected to deflect some of the media attention from the Kumar's rally.

Bihar CM and JD(U) leader had persuaded BJP not to deploy Narendra Modi in its Bihar campaigns for the 2009 Lok Sabha poll and the 2010 state assembly election, which the two parties had contested in alliance with each other.
