Patna's 'Psycho Killer' held, say cops

With the arrest of Kailash Prasad alias Nepali, known as the Psycho killer, police claimed to have solved the cases of the gruesome murder of two children in the state capital.

The killer had allegedly bludgeoned 12-year-old Monu Kumar to death after sodomizing him, in Bihar Vidyapeeth Garden under Digha police station late on Wednesday night. Police also recovered some bloodstained stones from the spot.

Senior SP Manu Maharaj said one Raju Rajak had lodged a missing case after his son Monu disappeared. We started investigation and recovered the boy's body. After that, we took the help of FSL and a dog squad to solve the case,h he said.

With the clues pointing the needle of suspicion towards Kailash Prasad alias Nepali, police detained and quizzed him. In course of interrogation, Nepali confessed his involvement in two murder cases under Patliputra and Digha police station areas.

On the basis of his statement, police recovered the bloodstained stones used in killing Monu, the SSP added.

He said the accused had earlier also killed one Rahul Kumar (11) after sodomizing him in a similar incident at the same place on January 30 night.
