Three day long cultural extravaganza in Buxar

People of the district would get an opportunity to witness a cultural extravaganza for three days from 23 November in Buxar.



The art and culture department would organise the three day 'Vishwamitra Mahotsava', in which folk art and traditional programmes would be presented. People would watch Ramlila in Mithilanchal, Awadh and Delhi styles.

Pandit Birju Maharaj would perform 'nritya natika', based on Maharshi Vishwamitra, one of the days. During this event the folk artists of the state would also perform song and dances.

Incharge district magistrate (DM) of Buxar, Mohammad Amanullah said the event would be organised at the Quila ground of Buxar and Nritya Kala Academy has entrusted with the task of organising the mega event.

The state government has sanctioned R20 lakh to organise the event, he said.
