Teacher rapes student in Kapurthala

A teacher has allegedly raped a plus two student of a government school of Saidpur village in Sultanpur Lodhi sub-division on Tuesday.


The village Panchayat handed over the computer teacher Talwinder Singh of Government Girls High School Saidpur to the Talwandi Chaudhrian police after thrashing him on Wednesday.

Talwandi Chaudhrian SHO Kulwant Singh said that a  criminal case under section 376  and 506 IPC  had been registered against the teacher  on the victim  statement. No arrest of the accused was made so far.

Earlier the teacher tendered apology in the Panchayat for his misdeeds. According to the police sources, the victim has attained pubrity just two months ago whereas the computer teacher is 25 years old.

The computer teacher took the student with him at around one pm during school time to his maternal uncle’s house in the village itself, the police said, adding that there was no body in  the house at that time and he raped the victim there.

However when the teacher and the girl were coming out of the house after about half an hour, some villagers noticed them. Meanwhile the police was awaiting the report of the girl’s medical examination.
