The five-year-old girl, one of the 19 victims of mass killing and rape that took place in Nithari, was strangled to death and her body was dumped in a gunny bag by her killer.

After seven years, the special court judge Shyam Lal on Saturday held Surinder Koli guilty of abduction, attempt to rape, murder and destruction of evidence in the case. Koli has already been awarded death sentence in four other related cases.

After Saturday's order, CBI public prosecutor JP Sharma said he would demand a capital punishment for Koli as the case could be well placed "under the category of rarest of the rare".

The court was told the girl went missing on June 4, 2005 when she was playing outside the house of Koli's employer Maninder Singh Pandher's residence at D-5, Sector-31 in Noida.

The victim's father lodged a complaint. After Koli and Pandher were arrested in December 2006, Koli confessed of having killed several women and children.
