Unsatisfied with distribution of property between him and his brothers, a man shot his father dead in Greater Noida on Saturday. The man even set his father’s body on fire after killing him.
“Mangat Ram (80) had distributed land among his three sons Ramesh Chand, Suresh Chand and Mahesh
Chand but his elder son Ramesh was not satisfied. He was asking for a piece of land in the property which was adjacent to a road but his father refused,” a police officer said on condition of anonymous.
“The refusal made him furious. This morning around 8 a.m. Ramesh shot his father in the fields.”
Later his wife Kamla Devi allegedly poured kerosene over the injured senior citizen, who was bleeding profusely, and Ramesh set his father on fire.
“A case of murder and attempt to destroy evidence has been registered against Ramesh and his wife Kamla. Till late evening today both the accused were absconding,” said Pramod Panwar, Station Head Officer of Dankore police station.
