Cold returns, western MP shivers

Acute cold conditions have returned to the state, with temperatures slumping due to cold winds blowing throughout the day. Western MP is experiencing severe cold weather conditions as temperatures have dipped as low as 5 degrees in Sheopur, Guna, Ratlam and Neemuch.

 

In Bhopal, the minimum temperature dipped to 8.8 degrees. Even the day temperature showed considerable dip on Saturday and was recorded at 20.7 degrees. Although, the day was sunny, the wind remained quite cold throughout the day, forcing citizens to take out their woolens. The winds from northeast got cooler by the evening.

“Western parts of the state are expected to face cold wave conditions and temperatures may dip up to 4 degrees. In Bhopal the temperature may lower up to 6 degrees. There is likelihood that these conditions may prevail for three to four days,” stated meteorological department.

It might be mentioned that the temperatures have dipped considerably in last two days and citizens are braving acute cold weather as icy winds are pulling in the cold drafts from northern India.
