DMK chief M Karunanidhi’s two politically active sons, MK Alagiri and his younger brother MK Stalin, who are perceived to be locked in a succession struggle spent more than an hour together in Madurai on Monday.

The public reunion of sorts in Tamil Nadu’s temple town came on a day when their father said in party organ Murasoli that factional feuds — referring to a turf war in Thanjavur between party leaders TR Baalu and SS Palanimanickam — were making him “sleepless”.
