A man fired two shots over a petty issue while playing cricket at Mandpura village (Pataudi) on Sunday.

A case of attempt to murder has been registered against four residents of Jatshahpur village.

The Pataudi police said a cricket match was being played between the residents of Jatshahpur and Mandpura village on Sunday morning.

During the match, Somveer of Jatshahpur village allegedly abused Sidharth alias Sunny, son of the village ex-sarpanch.

The two allegedly assaulted each other. Their team members intervened and pacified the duo.

Somveer along with his friends went and sat in a Scorpio SUV parked near the ground.

The villagers of Mandpura heard about the incident and questioned Somveer as to why he abused Sidharth.

On this, Somveer took out his rifle from the car and allegedly fired two shots in the air.

The splinters hit two villagers of Mandpura and they were rushed to a private hospital in Pataudi. In the meantime, Somveer and his friends fled from the spot. The villagers informed the police control room.

The injured were identified as Ajay and Pardeep. While Ajay suffered injuries on both his hands, Pradeep's leg was wounded. Both are stated to be out of danger.

Meanwhile, the police are conducting raids to arrest the accused.
