By giving back-to-back bestsellers on tackling challenges of life and career, this city-based honcho has earned a global name in the field of writing.

The managing director of leading French multi-national Vygon, Pavan Choudhary, 48, is being recognised as wisdom educator. His latest book released early this year ‘How a Good Person Can Really Win’ has become a huge success among corporate managers.

While his critically acclaimed ‘When You are Sinking Become a Submarine’ has already been translated into Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Tamil and Bengali, his works on nation building and cultivating civic sense, namely, ‘Uprising 2011’ and ‘Broom and Groom’, both of which co-authored with former IPS officer Kiran Bedi, have got good response too.

Choudhary says such creative works have stemmed from “his passion to see no good person losing to a vile around him”.

“For an unsuspecting good person, to deal with a vile is like handling a Frankenstein monster. He or she, thus, needs to see life from the Vile’s perspective to undo his mean acts and this is exactly what my latest book ‘How a Good Person Can Really Win’ talks about,” says the author.

Living here for nearly 10 years, Choudhary has seen the Millennium City grow from close quarters and hence has a word of caution on the curious confrontation of cultures between the natives and young corporate residents. “Gurgaon’s cultural clash which had been simmering for long has now reached a boiling point. If we do not make the right social investments to bring the natives into the mainstream, we will be at fault for exploiting the city only for our good life,” he says.

For this, he blames not just the government but also puts onus on the city corporate honchos too.

“Gurgaon’s corporate citizens need to have the largeness of heart and think beyond just business,” says the author.
