Accusing West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee of unleashing terror in a bid to foil the ongoing two-day strike by trade unions, Leader of the Opposition Suryakanta Mishra on Thursday said she should try to control the 'storm troopers' of her party.
Mishra compared the ruling Trinamool Congress's party activists with the 'storm troopers' of Nazi ruled Germany in the 1930's.
"Our chief minister has unleashed an atmosphere of terror in the state in a bid to foil the strike call. She has tried to foil the strike but has failed to do so. The terror unleashed by Trinamool activists reminds us of Hitler's storm troopers," said Mishra.
"She should try to reign them, otherwise the people of this state will be in great trouble and will rise in protest against this regime," Mishra added.
