Angry wife charges hubby with hacking Facebook account

A woman accused her husband of hacking her Facebook account and e-mail ID with an intent to misuse her contact and friends lists. She lodged the complaint for fraud and under different sections of IT Act here at cyber crime cell on Saturday.

The police said Akansha Tiwari, 25, and her husband Amrish Tiwari, 31, are engineering graduates. Amrish works with a reputed company in Bengaluru while Akansha had quit the job after her marriage.

District police spokesman Alok Pathak said the woman had charged the her husband with hacking her facebook account and e-mail ID with intent to misuse her friends lists and malign her image. She alleged that her husband was operating the facebook account and e-mail to approach her friends and take their favour in her name.

Pathak said the woman’s relations with husband has been strained for last several months and they were staying separately. He said Akansha even lodged a separate FIR against her husband and in-laws for dowry harassment at Gudamba police station. The family of the woman’s husband, however, denied all allegations. They said the woman was trying to mount unnecessary pressure on them by registering fake cases”.
