Shri Badrinath Kedarnath Samiti had appealed to the common people and saint community to participate in the mahashradhhanjali sabha of thousands of pilgrims and residents who died in the Uttarakhand tragedy.

Cabinet ministers, legislators, commoners, saints, office-bearers of Badrinath Kedarnath Samiti - all were part of the special rituals organised at Har Ki Pauri.

In a joint commemoration, the samiti and Sri Ganga Sabha had organised a shanti yajna, shanti path and rites for the departed souls.
