The inaugural leadership awards instituted by the International Advertising Association's India chapter were presented here on Saturday for 19 categories, which saw a total of 100 nominees.
The "Media Person of the Year' award went to Shobhana Bhartia, chairperson and editorial director of Hindustan Times.
While advertising ace Sam Balsara was presented the 'Media Agency Head of the Year' award, Hindustan Unilever marketing head Arun Srinivas bagged the 'Marketer of the Year' award in the FMCG-personal care category.
Manish Tewari, Union minister of state, information & broadcasting, was the chief guest at the awards ceremony held at the Grand Hyatt.
The 19 categories for which the awards were presented spanned the fields of media, marketing, advertising, banking and telecom.
