“Police recovered 160gm of gold and silver ornaments, two mobile phones and instruments used to break into homes from the gang,” he added.
The investigating officer said the gang’s modus operandi was to get two women, Pooja and Tulsi, scan the area as rag pickers or women who collect old clothes in return for utensils.

They used to visit each floor in the building and looked for flats that were locked. This information was passed on to their gang, who then robbed the house.
Patel has many cases registered against her in Dadar, Ghatkopar, Kurla and Panvel police stations.

In 2012, Pooja had escaped from the custody of the Panvel police.

Earlier, she used to snatch chains on local and express trains. All three accused were produced in Kalyan court.
