The accused, Nikhil Lala, posed as a woman on a messenger group to befriend the victim and then used an UK-based website to blackmail him.

Lala created fake email IDs and used them to chat with the victim on Yahoo messenger, said inspector Nandkumar Gopale.

The accused pretended to be a girl and video taped his victim in the nude during one of their chats. He then asked the businessman for money by threaten-ing to upload the pictures online.
