8 injured in four separate accidents

A man was crushed to death and eight people were injured in separate road accidents, police said on Tuesday.


In the first incident, Ram Pravesh, 55, was killed when a truck hit his bike in New Friends Colony in south Delhi last night.

In the second incident, five people suffered injuries, when the car in which they were travelling overturned in west Dehli's Alipur area.

Another car coming from a wrong direction collided with another vehicle leaving three people of a family injured in a separate incident.

Delhi: HIV patient gets 7 years' jail for robbery

A Delhi court has sentenced an HIV-positive man and his wife to seven years in jail for robbery and house trespassing. The court said there were no grounds for leniency on account of health since such crimes were on the rise and needed to be curbed.
