According to police, the victim’s mother had left her daughter outside a local temple, from where an unidentified man took her to an isolated place on the pretext of giving her food.

The mother returned to find the girl missing. “A frantic search began but around 1pm, the girl returned on her own. She told her mother that someone had raped her after taking her to an isolated place on the pretext of giving her food,” said a senior police officer

The victim’s parents then made a call to the police control room.

The police officer said a case of rape has been registered at the Anand Vihar police station and efforts are on to nab the culprit.
