Ardee’s 10 years of excellence

As a part of their tenth anniversary celebrations, the Ardee Schools, one of the premiere institutions offering Montessori education in India, celebrated a decade of excellence at their Sujan Singh Marg campus. The event began with the lighting of the inaugural lamp by chief guest Mrs. Shobhana Bhartia, Chairperson and Editorial Director of the Hindustan Times Group.

Shefali Varma, chairperson, The Ardee Group, school director Chanda Raisinghani and school principal Seema Kaushal were also present. With a challenging theme 'Noble Nobel', the occasion witnessed a plethora of events inspired by Nobel Laureates — a medley that

comprised the replicas of paintings by Rabindranath Tagore with his songs rendered by the school choir.

A skit in Hindi, a ballet and demonstrations of Karate and Yoga asanas were also a part of the event. Exciting science concepts were exhibited in various events fascinating the audience by the imaginative display of lights, colours and sounds.

Chief Guest Mrs. Shobhana Bhartia answered a wide range of queries during an interaction with the audience and congratulated the school on its achievements. Speaking on the occasion, Shefali Varma, Chairperson The Ardee Group said, "Ours is a progressive organisation focussing on quality and nation-building. Today is indeed a proud moment, I and the rest of the Ardee School family looks forward to being a part of many more such milestones in Gurgaon and in Goa". "The Montessori Method assists the child to build his own thinking paradigm which helps his/her in making their own decisions, to find one's own path to fulfilment and to dare to be the change. The creativity and originality of these children has made these ten years a very rewarding experience for parents, teachers and the community as well," said Chanda Raisinghani, school director.

The eco club of Mater Dei School, Tilak Lane recently organised several activities as part of the eco week celebrations. Documentaries based on ecological issues, climate change and energy conservation were shown in the event. Students participated in chart making activities on the 'Endangered Aquatic Species' and prepared eco diaries. Students accompanied by a teacher also visited the Okhla Bird Sanctuary. The eco week concluded with an exhibition showcasing charts, diaries and potted saplings, planted and nurtured by the students.

Nurse murdered in staff quarters in Delhi

A 45-year-old nurse working at Lok Nayak Hospital in Delhi was found murdered. Her body was found in a semi-nude condition in the bathroom at the hospital’s staff quarters located near Delhi Gate in central Delhi.
