The Guru Gobind Singh IP University is set to start a BCom (honours) course in its private colleges from the coming session.


The university, whose forms for all courses are set to go on sale from Thursday, will introduce the new course in all self financing private colleges under the university.

The university has also made a number of changes in the admission procedure of its various courses, including MBA and B. Tech. Students who are planning to pursue an MBA from the university will no longer have to sit for a personal interview. All admissions will be made on the basis of the Common Entrance Test.

The university had also changed its counselling procedure for admission to B. Tech and BBA.

Delhi: HIV patient gets 7 years' jail for robbery

A Delhi court has sentenced an HIV-positive man and his wife to seven years in jail for robbery and house trespassing. The court said there were no grounds for leniency on account of health since such crimes were on the rise and needed to be curbed.
