Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal continued his campaign to sign up youth volunteers for his party. On Tuesday, he visited Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce in Pitampura.

Kejriwal delivered the inaugural address of the annual festival of the college’s entrepreneurship cell. He took the opportunity to urge students to consider doing their summer internship with his party. “We want the youth to participate in politics. The day they decide to change the system, it will change in no time,” he said.

Kejriwal impressed the students with his remarks about corruption in government and said the only solution was to enter politics. “You (the youth) cannot afford to hate politics…You have to decide whether protesting is enough or it’s time to throw out the corrupt,” he said.

A few critics in the crowd also questioned Kejriwal’s credibility in the light of Anna Hazare’s remark that Kejriwal may be power hungry and that AAP was a one-agenda party.

By the end of the day, nearly 25 students had signed up to volunteer for the party, said organizers. The registrations will continue.

Talking about his indefinite fast on March 23 against inflated power and water bills in Delhi, Kejriwal reiterated that power discoms must undergo a CAG audit. “Why are they afraid of audits? Obviously, something is amiss,” he said.
