Kejriwal wants to help Snowden

Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday demanded asylum for whistleblower Edward Snowden and criticised the government for what it termed “justifying the massive global surveillance programme” of US government.

AAP also attacked external affairs minister Salman Khurshid for what it termed “justifying” US government’s eavesdropping and surveillance programme, codenamed Prism.

Delhi: HIV patient gets 7 years' jail for robbery

A Delhi court has sentenced an HIV-positive man and his wife to seven years in jail for robbery and house trespassing. The court said there were no grounds for leniency on account of health since such crimes were on the rise and needed to be curbed.
