Reviving Sanskrit at Ahlcon International School

Ahlcon International School, Mayur Vihar I hosted 'Science in Sanskrit' mega exhibition in the school premises.


It was inaugurated by R.H.Dalmia, president and CEO of OCL India Ltd. Other dignitaries present were chairperson Dr. Rohini Ahluwalia, principal Ashok Pandey and Middle school in-charge Anju Gupta. The exhibition was broadly divided into two parts. The first part showed Sanskrit as a means of daily communication. The second part emphasised on the collaboration and amalgamation of two disciplines — Sanskrit and science. The showcasing of age-old Sanskrit included important scientific theories. This effort was a step forward to help Sanskrit regain its lost glory and was appreciated by one and all.

 Khaitan Public School, Noida hosted the annual sports day recently. School principal S.K.Mishra welcomed the chief guest Col R.S.Ahluwalia, Equestrian champion. The guest of honour was Arjun Vajpai, the youngest acclaimed mountaineer of the world. The sports day began with the march past followed by fun races like bean bag race, dragon race, flat race, relay race. Students performed 'pyramid formation' which filled the air with excitement. The winners were awarded medals and prizes by the guests. Headmistress V.Kapany, proposed the vote of thanks.

Stephen DaCosta, principal and manager, Frank Anthony Public School, Lajpat Nagar was conferred with the NES Jagat Group Sankar Acharya Sri Jayendra Saraswati Swamiji National Award for his outstanding contribution in the field of education. He has been instrumental in introducing and implementing a number of programmes for the holistic development of students. He also serves in a number of social and cultural organisations and NGO's taking care of senior citizens and the less fortunate children of the society.

 DLF Public School, Ghaz­iabad hosted the annual award ceremony. The chief guest for the event was Vineet Joshi, Chairman, CBSE  who inaugurated the new state-of-the-art Darbari Lal Auditorium, the newest acquisition of the DLF family. The guest of honour was T.R. Gupta, vice-president, DAV College managing Committee. 'Live a fulfilled life' was represented through a dance drama by the students. The chief guest lauded the school for its commendable contribution in the field of education.
