Students to participate in cycle rally

In a bid to spread the message of preservation of the environment, 25 students of Jamia Millia Islamia University will undertake a cycle rally from Himachal Pradesh to Delhi, from February 19 to 27.

Nineteen boys and six girls will traverse 452 kilometers from Narkanda, Himachal Pradesh, to New Delhi on cycles to spread the message 'Save Water, Save Earth' by creating awareness among local villagers and university students about the need for conserving water.

Delhi: HIV patient gets 7 years' jail for robbery

A Delhi court has sentenced an HIV-positive man and his wife to seven years in jail for robbery and house trespassing. The court said there were no grounds for leniency on account of health since such crimes were on the rise and needed to be curbed.
