Haryana IAS officer Ashok Khemka, who was recently transferred after he ordered a probe into Robert Vadra's land deals and cancelled one of them, is still receiving threatening phone calls.

The latest was received on his official landline at the Haryana Seeds Development Corporation by an employee on Tuesday. The worker informed her seniors, saying the caller used abusive language and issued a threat. A police complaint was lodged. Khemka wasn’t in office at that time.

In a letter to chief secretary PK Chaudhary a day after his transfer on October 11, Khemka had written, “My family feels threatened due to vested elements who were adversely affected by the exposure of scams in this department. I plead for security and a fixed tenure in a cadre post befitting my seniority.”

His lawyer friend Anupam Gupta, too, had revealed the IAS officer was receiving threat calls.

“We have registered an FIR and are investigating the matter,” said deputy commissioner of police, Panchkula, Parul Jain.
