Two Kolkata schoolgirls were rescued from red light area of Gaya and handed over to their parents.

The girls of Class 7 had a providential escape from being pushed into the flesh trade. They were spotted near the red light area by a person, who informed the Kotwali police of their suspicious movement. The Kotwali police picked them up and informed their parents, who reached Gaya and took them to Kolkata.

The girls of Hooghly had befriended two youths - Pintu and Nasim - on facebook. Later, they informed the two youths that they were not pulling on well with their parents.

The youths asked the girls to arrive at Gaya and wait for them near the red light area. On arrival, they contacted the youths, who instructed them to wait as a relative of theirs would arrive there soon and pick them up. While they were waiting, the police picked them up.

The Gaya police are trying to track the youths with the help of the cell phone numbers.
