The police have rescued a three-year-old girl, who had gone missing on Thursday night from Rithori village, in an unconscious state from across a railway line in Samaidinpur village.

Her parents alleged police inaction, adding that she was kidnapped and raped.

They said officials at the Ajaibpur police chowki did not listen to them when they went to lodge a missing complaint late in the night.

They added that the police instead asked them to look for her at their relative's house.

After the girl was found, the victim's parents, along with around 200 residents of Rithori village, gathered at the GT Road and blocked traffic for about two hours.
